tableverse-kit gives you the packages needed to build a board game for Tableverse. You write the rules and frontend. Tableverse runs the game and hosts it for your players. Tableverse supplies the server, rooms, and network protocol.

What you build

Every project has two parts:
  • An engine package containing state, commands, turn flow, and setup.
  • A client package containing the interface your players see.
The engine produces a GameExecutor. The client derives its state and command types from that executor, so changes to your rules appear as TypeScript errors in your frontend.

The development loop

1

Define the rules

Model your game state, the commands players can use, and the stages that control play.
2

Build the frontend

Read the current player view and send typed commands through @tableverse-kit/client.
3

Preview locally

Run tvk dev to start the local server and frontend together. The server executes the same game definition you publish.
4

Upload

Run tvk upload. Tableverse builds the engine and frontend from your uploaded workspace, then gives you a deployment dashboard.

Before you start

Install a current Node.js release, which includes npm. Basic TypeScript editing is enough to begin.

Create your project

Scaffold a working engine and frontend.
